We travelled down to Exeter by train and then caught a bus to Bude. The journey had its moments as we had to change trains in Birmingham due to an engine failure which meant that we just missed our bus in Exeter and had to wait nearly an hour for the next one. Time for coffee and cake!
On arrival in Bude the rain came down as we walked to our B&B for two nights, Fairway Guest House, the same B&B that Margaret stayed in last year.
We had a lovely comfortable en suite room and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The only disconcerting factor was that the owner sounded just like Sybil Fawlty!
